Чеченцы и грузины в Канаде отметили 23 февраля
23 февраля, в Торонто Канада, перед посольством России, чеченцы и грузины провели митинг в память депортации чеченцев и ингушей в Среднюю Азию. Политическая акция, длившая с 4.30 вечера до поздней ночи, сопровождалась требованиями к странам мирового сообщества признать российский геноцид чеченцев и ингушей сообщает,- информационное агентство http://chechencenter.info/
Все участники митинга принимали активное участие в общении с канадцами, объясняя сегодняшнюю реальную военно-политическую ситуацию в Чечне и в Ингушетии. В свою очередь,канадцы высказывали свои симпатии к национально-освободительному движению вЧечне и выражали свое глубокое сочувствиеугнетенным народам в России.
Небольшие брошюры с историей о Чечено-Ингушской депортации в 1944 году быливыданы каждому второму канадцу, проходившему мимо участников акции.Многие канадцы были удивлены, что Чечня не является независимым государством, так как, они считали, что чеченцы давно получили свою самостоятельность.
The Chechens gathered in front of Russian embassy in Toronto demanding Russia to recognize genocide their soviets have committed in Chechnya. The protest lasted from 4:30pm till late night. Members of Georgian Diaspora in Canada also came to share the Chechen-Ingush tragedy.
All participants were actively involved in talking to Canadians explaining the real situation in Chechnya and in Ingushetia. In their turn, Canadians presented their sympathies to the 
liberation movement in Chechnya and deeply condolence to the oppressed in Russia. Small brochures with the history of the Chechen-Ingush deportation in 1944 were given out to every second Canadian who passed by. Many of Canadians were surprised that Chechnya isn't independent yet. As they used to believe, the Chechens got their independence even long time ago.
After the protest, all participants went for a pal-talk to the Chechen Community in Canada called “Nohcho”. And for hours spoke of the importance of that date talking about how the Chechens and Ingush people were deported. Everyone had chance to share stories of how their relatives were brutally killed on the 23rd.
"We wont give up! We wont cry! We wont forget!"
